About Me
Carole is a Bristol Magistrate and was elected local councillor for Ashley Ward 2016-2021 and former Deputy Lord Mayor 2020-2021, becoming only the third woman from African Caribbean heritage in the City to be appointed to this position in its over 800 year history since the creation of the post in 1899.
Previously a proprietor of her own business, she is also doubly qualified as a primary school teacher and social worker with over 15 years experience. Serving as school governor for four different schools so far, St Barnabas, Easton Academy, St Patrick and Hope Virtual School. She has also served as hospital governor for the University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust.
Carole is also Co Chair of Bristol Women's Voice, Vice Chair to St Pauls Carnival CIC and Trustee of Brigstowe Charity Charity.
